The Taj Mahal
One of the most visited sites in India, the Taj Mahal is
located in the city of Āgra in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal was
built as a mausoleum in the 17th century by an emperor in memory of his wife. It
is covered in white marble and set in a garden with pools of water.
